Course Description

One of the skills your dog needs in life is a reliable recall. In this three week class we will cover how to build a recall that works, games to play and maintain that recall, as well as an emergency recall game to ensure your dog always returns.

Prerequisites: puppy class, manners class, or reasonable equivalent

Age group: for dogs ages 6 months and up

Class size: 3-6 students

Equipment

Lots of small, easy-to-chew, high-value treats (this is from the dog’s perspective; they should love what they are getting).
Collar (flat collar, martingale, slip collar, or non-restrictive harness. Pinch/prong collars are not allowed)
4-6 foot leash
treat bag
toy that does not roll or squeak
sensible shoes in which handler can run

Class dates: May 5-19, 2025

Course Description

This is a 3-week preparation course with CGC testing on week three. We will practice the course requirements and proof skills for final testing.

Prerequisites: dogs should have the basic skills of sit, down, stay, and loose leash walking in order to take this course, i.e., have completed a basic obedience class.

Age group: for dogs ages 5 months and up.

Class size: 4-8 students

Equipment

Our experiences at Northfield Dog Training have tremendously enhanced our Golden Retriever's abilities and our overall relationship with him. We have all learned so much. We are honored to have Adele as an advanced obedience instructor and can't wait for what is next. I have two dogs attending agility classes with Karen Tudor at NDT. Talk about a fabulous experience! Karen adjusts her teaching style to meet the needs of her students and their dogs. She understands the training goals each student has and helps them to work toward their personal goal. It doesn’t matter if your goal is to compete or to just have more fun with your furry best friend. If you are looking for a friendly and supportive environment that produces results when you are willing to put in the work, run (don’t walk) to Northfield!

Great place to learn agility and hone your skills whether you are beginner or seasoned pro! Karen Tudor is an awesome trainer whether you are just starting out or looking for help in competition. She gives you the basics in the intro classes with a lot of foundation work needed for you to build on for future plus creating a better bond with you and your dog. For the beginner class, it's a great place to start to see if agility something for you and your dog. ?. In the advanced classes, she provides tools needed to compete in agility with your four legged friend. For competition level, you are given feedback to make your weekend trials more successful! Karen ROCKS!!
